Reference Material

I usually work out of physical or digital pictures that my clients provide.  I'm happy to do so, but please be aware that in order to do a good job, I'll need to have a picture that follows a few criteria:

- it should be clear and crisp, with all details visible (a Polaroid from the Seventies won't do).

- It should not be overexposed or completely dark, as excess light or darkness will hide details.

- It should be taken preferably at eye level with the animal to avoid distortion in the features.

I can work with less than perfect reference material, but please be aware I do not know your pet as well as you do, so I won't be able to make up for lack of information through imagination without creating something that is not quite your pet. 

Remember - the result of my work can only be as good as the reference material you provide.

Prices vary depending on the format you choose your portrait to be, and depending on the amount of pets in your portrait.

Here's a list of the most common formats with their prices:

24x30 cm (or an A4) ) - EUR 200

30x40 cm - EUR 260

35x50 cm - EUR 340

50x60 cm - EUR 440

I am happy to work on other formats as well, please let me know if you have anything specific in mind. 

These prices are intended for one pet only, created to include the head and shoulders, and do not include shipping, which varies depending on where the portrait needs to be sent.

Here's a rough indication on shipping prices for the main destinations I usually serve:

Europe - EUR 15

US/Canada - EUR 35

Australia - EUR 55

The portrait will be shipped unframed to avoid unpleasant accidents with the glass, but in such conditions so as to resist heat and moisture.  I usually ship with UPS - in my opinion one of the most reliable couriers out there.

If you decide to pick up your portrait, then I will have it framed for you and ready to go.  All expenses included.
